"La fabbrica delle porte" (The Door Factory), a book written by Susanna De Ciechi, graphic project by Marina Bonanni. was presented in Bologna on 15 March 2007, during the twentieth edition of Saiedue.
Conceived to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Acem, this Private Book narrates the lives of the protagonists of yesterday and today, and provides an overview of past vicissitudes that reach into the present
The book recounts the evolution of Acem, describing the spirit and the heart of those who worked incessantly and continue to strive, day in day out, for the development of the territory, the protection of the people they work with, the preservation of the environment. Richly illustrated by splendid photos that speak to the mind and the emotions, the book was written by Susanna De Ciechi, a journalist who is thoroughly familiar with the wood sector: the story of the Cortese family is intertwined with an in-depth account of the technological progress that has taken place in the course of a half century. The author succeeds in getting across her perception of Acem’s future.
