MadeExpo ended with highly positive results: the 2011 edition of the Milan trade fair was a turning point for Acem, the interior door maker.
In the course of the year has carried on a drive to strengthen its brand undertaken in 2008 with the launch of Petra, the company’s first design doors collection styled by Brizzi+Riefenstahl.
During the year, Acem attained major achievements, such as the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Porte Prandi, a historic showroom in Milan, and the launch of Nothing, a collection that has met with great success at the recent trade show, not least because of a new, exclusive exhibition setting, designed by Antonio Brizzi, studio Brizzi+Riefenstahl, that was prompted by a desire to give life to a veritable architectural project, far removed from the stereotypical stand set-up
Consuelo Cortese, Managing Director of Acem and Porte Prandi says: “We are very pleased with the positive reaction recorded at MadeExpo both by our new collection Nothing and by our products in general. The acquisition of a majority shareholding in Porte Prandi provides us with a privileged observation point from which are able to monitor current market trends, that we can immediately decode and translate into our collections. This acquisition has already yielded interesting results, which we plan to develop in the immediate future. The success of our participation in the Milan trade fair exceeded our expectations, both in terms of the interest in our products expressed by Italian operators and in terms of the large presence of foreign buyers, many of them from Russia and India, besides operators from Israel and several Eastern Countries, all of them showing tangible interest in our line-up. All this gives us hope for the future, notwithstanding the adverse situation currently faced by the global economy”.The new collection Nothing, the new collection of “Filomuro” doors by Acem-Studio Design, features a frame made from extruded aluminium that is installed flush with the wall so as to achieve perfect continuity between the wall and the door. Nothing is ready for installation in masonry and gypsum board walls alike; available for either push or pull installation, it is equipped with invisible hinges that may be adjusted in three directions for perfect calibration within the opening. The lock is magnetic
Nothing can be had either coated with a primer in preparation for painting or lacquered in any RAL colour and with a fine texturized finish. In the same product line, we offer Nothing Contract, a version for the contract sector where it is the first ever EI30, EI45 and EI60 certified flush door.
