Jacuzzi, a leading brand in the hydrotherapy sector, has selected Acem as one of its technical partners. This will see the firm contribute to the preparation of the stand at Cersaie 2010.
The Jacuzzi stand design requires careful assessment regarding the selection of each individual component. In fact, it follows a logic according to which no detail is secondary, a method which this leading hydromassage company has always endorsed. The forms, functions and materials of Jacuzzi products are once again set to play a leading role in an international event such as Cersaie, and they demand a setting that is up to standard
Because of this, the choice of the doors to be used in Jacuzzi's exhibition area was also the outcome of a thorough analysis, which resulted in the selection of Petra, Acem's flagship model, renowned for its original and sophisticated design
This provides Acem with an excellent opportunity to make its presence felt at the show, scheduled to take place in Bologna from 28th September to 2nd October. The key event for the autumn season, Cersaie is the main international showcase for the ceramics and bathroom fittings sectors, presenting the best technology, solutions and design, from the simplest accessories to the most high-profile, complex and sophisticated solutions.
Petra, designed by Brizzi+Riefenstahl Studio
Within the Jacuzzi stand, Acem will benefit from an ideal setting, with the spotlights firmly focused on Petra, the designer door selected by Jacuzzi to form part of its stand at the 2010 edition of the show. Petra, designed by Brizzi-Riefenstahl Studio, stands out for the dimensional interplay of the frames, emphasising the concept of a contemporary version of an 18th century portal; the balanced proportions, the choice of materials and the finishes interpret a style that aims to counter minimalism. The design is characterised by the extreme cleanliness of the lines and the recessed grip of the special “built-in” handle, to feature, according to taste, in a contrasting or matching colour compared to the colour of the door itself. Petra is available in a range of different woods combined with “cement” finishes and chromatic details focusing on bright colours, as well as lacquers, raw and velvet effects, available in the full range of RAL colours. The doors have the following opening systems: flush with the wall, with 180° opening; the classic sliding door housed inside the wall; and the wall-mounted sliding door with totally concealed telescopic track.
Acem for Jacuzzi
The design of the Jacuzzi stand, developed specifically for Cersaie, will feature two model Petra doors as elements pertinent to the concept itself. In fact, the doors are not inside an area dedicated to one or more products, but contribute to the creation of a functional space; one provides access to the meetings room, while the other is positioned near the reception. Both are strategic positions, inasmuch as they mark obligatory points of passage for those wanting to visit the entire exhibition space, which is completely open-plan apart from these two partitioned sections. They are also clearly visible from the central patio through the glass wall
In order to match the colour of the stand, the doors have a beige finish, with a built-in handle in the same gloss colour and a velvet door finish.Water-repellent mdf jamb
Acem's policy has always focused on R&D that looks to technological innovations in terms of materials. By working in this direction, the company has carried out a successful test phase on a water-repellent mdf jamb. This solution is used as a support for the jambs in all the collections produced by Acem. In fact, thanks to the use of water-repellent mdf, it is now possible to prevent the problem of swelling in damp conditions. The two product swelling tests (EN321 – Cyclic swelling tests and EN317 – Swelling test after 24 hours performed for over a year on the Basic09 product), were passed with flying colours. In fact, they produced results that guarantee better product durability in a damp environment. This makes all Acem doors particularly suitable for use in damp environments such as Beauty Centres and Spas.
