To mark design week in Milan, Acem are presenting their customised door collection, Petra, with its innovative handle-free opening mechanism.
Driven by their objective to move away from widespread minimalism, designers Antonio Brizzi and Babette Riefenstahl have found inspiration in an 18th century portal
Created for a contemporary ambiance, where it highlights the important role of doors in defining the geometry of interior projects, Petra features striking colour combinations and an avant-garde technological research. Thanks to an in-depth study of the materials involved, Brizzi and Riefenstahl have succeeded in translating a language of craftsmanship into industrial vernacular.The presentation will be divided between the installation c/o Prandi at no. 5 via Barbavara, open from 10.00 am to 20.00 pm, and “Il percorso di Petra”, a multi-installation trail in Milan.
